This app was created as part of a cross-track challenge within Google’s UX design program. I chose the wedding venue booking challenge due to the lack of helpful tools in Brazil that support brides in organizing and selecting venues. Choosing a venue is often stressful—balancing guest count, accommodations, and style requires time-consuming research. Having gone through this process myself, I saw how hard it is to find reliable, clear information about venues.
The challange was to translate the requirements that the bride and groom had when looking for a Wedding venue, into an app that was easy to use, acessible and helpfull.

To design a meaningful and user-centered low-fidelity prototype, I followed a structured approach combining three key techniques: persona development, competitor research, and the Value Proposition Canvas.
I began by creating detailed personas based on qualitative insights, focusing on engaged couples planning their weddings. These personas helped me empathize with user needs, expectations, and pain points – such as difficulty in finding venues that matched both budget and style preferences.
Next, I conducted competitor research to analyze existing wedding planning platforms. I identified gaps in usability, flexibility, and personalization. Most competitors lacked essential filtering options or failed to consider specific user scenarios, such as pet-friendly venues or hybrid (online/in-person) viewing experiences.
To bridge these gaps and strategically shape the product, I used the Value Proposition Canvas. This allowed me to map the features our product should offer, such as:
